Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in the United States seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and ship mission-critical applications, data pipelines, and internal tools for spacecraft production.

You will work cross-functionally to connect hardware design, supply chains, and factory-floor testing, spanning backend APIs, data stores, UI work in React, and data pipelines. This role offers growth and impact across the full software stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with Python (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, or async frameworks).
• Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience building UIs in React.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining robust RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid database foundations with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL) including schema design, query optimization, and caching strategies (Redis).
• Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE, and GCP or AWS).
• Strong proficiency with Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Own projects end-to-end—from scoping and architecture through frontend/backend implementation, automated testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with aerospace engineers, manufacturing technicians, supply chain managers, and operators to turn complex physical processes into robust software.
• Platform Reliability & Quality: Write clean, modular code and build automated CI/CD and observability tooling to keep critical factory systems resilient and highly available.
