Astranis is hiring a Software Engineer for the Mission Applications team in San Francisco to design, build, and operate software that commands, monitors, and coordinates our satellites and ground networks. You will own features end to end, from backend services to operator interfaces, delivering robust capabilities for space operations.

You will tackle complex problems across telemetry, payload testing, and network coordination, collaborating with payload and network engineers as well as flight

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle of software for satellite commanding, health monitoring, and fleet management.
• Build services and tools that coordinate network and payload operations.
• Develop analytical and forecasting tools to evaluate satellite and network performance.
• Own features end to end, from backend architecture to operator interfaces.
• Deliver resilient, high-consequence software workflows that send commands to space vehicles and ground stations.
• Build and maintain web-based operator tools for commanding consoles and telemetry visualization.
• Automate operational workflows across spacecraft testing and on-orbit operations.
• Collaborate with payload engineers, network engineers, system architects, and flight operators.
