Job summary

Charter Communications is seeking a Software Engineer VI for its Louisville, KY location. The role involves performing software engineering to support the development and maintenance of enterprise platforms and applications for field operations. Responsibilities include building REST APIs using NodeJS and developing enterprise-level GIS applications.

The ideal candidate should have experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong Agile methodology understanding are also required.

Qualifications

• 4 years building REST APIs using NodeJS in a business environment.
• 4 years utilizing a NoSQL Database (e.g., MongoDB).
• 3 years using Agile methodologies to ship code.
• 3 years developing enterprise-level GIS application.
• 1 year using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, Harness, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Magellan Engineering platform.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders in an Agile environment.
• Build high-quality code following unit testing and test-driven development.
• Mentor new developers and review code.
• Document and maintain software functionality.
