Job summary

VTG Defense seeks an experienced Software Developer to support enterprise classification tools across a diverse tech stack including Java, Spring Boot, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, XML/SOAP, and Lotus Notes.

The role covers new development and maintenance of desktop, web, and service-oriented solutions, with emphasis on integrating legacy and modern environments and documenting technical details.

Qualifications

• BS degree required with 11–15 years of software development experience.
• Strong Java and/or Python development experience.
• Experience building Java applications with Spring Boot.
• Experience developing scripts and web services.
• Proficiency in JavaScript development, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing and maintaining enterprise software using XML/SOAP services.
• Ability to troubleshoot legacy and modern applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise software applications and classification tools.
• Develop backend applications and services using Java.
• Develop Java apps using Spring Boot framework.
• Build classification tools via scripts, APIs, and web services.
• Maintain Microsoft desktop/web apps using C, C++, Visual Basic, .NET.
• Develop web interfaces with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Create Java-based web services with Apache CXF and deploy on Tomcat.
• Integrate XML/SOAP-based services into solutions.
• Support Lotus Notes environments and related tooling.
• Document software architectures and technical details.
