Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking a Software Engineer III in Atlanta, GA to design, implement, and deploy software for vertical transportation systems. You will work across full software life cycle, from build to deployment, ensuring security and data protection, while collaborating with hardware teams and external partners.

The role requires 2+ years of embedded software experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and familiarity with USB/RS232/CAN/Ethernet. Travel willingness is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or another related field.
• Working knowledge / experience with C#, C++, Python, JS.
• Experience with HTML5, Angular Framework, and Java Script a plus.
• Experience working with USB, RS232, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Understanding of the elevator installation process a plus.
• Embedded multiple threaded application development and/or PC application development tools a plus
• Machine Learning and/or TinyML a plus
• Working knowledge or RF technologies – ZigBee, Z‑Wave, LORA, Bluetooth, and WiFi a plus
• Knowledge of the US Field organization, systems, process or procedures a plus.
• Willingness to travel.
• Requires 2+ years of embedded software design experience.

Responsibilities

• Engineer software components to meet solution requirements including costs, quality, time, security and data protection.
• Ensure a departmental methodology is followed group wide to analyze and build required components and interfaces.
• Implement new practices when original approach and assumptions are no longer valid and manage milestones across changes.
• Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify needs and improve standards.
• Design data structures and software architecture following iteration-based development models.
• Code, test, and document product development stages; assess options for reuse or reconfiguration.
• Interpret design to meet customer needs and deliver suitable applications.
• Coordinate information gathering, reporting, and risk assessment to address potential issues.
• Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts, supporting troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ensure system interoperability and security across modules.
