Job summary

Laminar is hiring a Software Engineer, Edge Platform to build the software infrastructure behind the company’s edge computing platform. You will work closely with the Senior Edge Platform Engineer to develop Linux-based software, automate provisioning, and improve deployment across edge devices and factories.

You will contribute to packaging, testing, and deployment of applications using containers and virtual machines, and collaborate with teams to resolve platform issues while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• Experience with Linux-based systems and edge devices.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, C++, or Go.
• Experience with containers and VM environments.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop Linux services, scripts, and tools for the edge platform.
• Automate setup and configuration of edge hardware and servers.
• Support packaging, testing, and deployment of applications in containers/VMs.
• Implement and test integrations for industrial protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, OPC UA).
• Improve platform reliability with logging, monitoring, and updates.
