Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Hyperdrive team to build technology that makes regional databases feel global. You will own critical components from design to production, writing in languages including Rust, Go, and C++, and collaborating across North American teams.

This role focuses on low-latency edge data paths, connection pooling, and query caching, with opportunities to influence protocol handling and integration with existing ORMs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with Rust, Go, or C++.
• Knowledge of Linux networking, TCP/IP, TLS, and WebSockets.
• Understanding of database concepts, wire protocols, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own design, implementation, and release of Hyperdrive components across the stack.
• Work with languages such as Rust, Go, and C++ in a distributed setting.
• Improve performance, reliability, and integration with Cloudflare’s network.
• Collaborate across teams in North America to deliver robust solutions.
