Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build technologies across eCommerce and Loyalty experiences for customers. The role translates business requirements into technical designs, guides junior engineers, and liaises across teams to align interfaces between services.

The engineer will lead small development engagements, mentor peers, and tackle complex technical problems, contributing to API design and performance improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software development in an IT organization or equivalent educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and debugs software in support of new and existing applications 65%.
• Develop, execute and thoroughly document unit and system-level test plans 15%.
• Designs changes to new and existing applications 10%.
• Provides support for production applications (7x24) 5%.
• Participate in Agile methodology and ceremonies 5%.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
