Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a software engineer in Hanover, MD to contribute to underwater systems software lifecycle across design, development, testing and integration.

You will interface with engineering leads, program managers and customers, mentor junior staff, and help prepare test plans and documentation; a DoD background and security clearance are highly valued.

The role requires US citizenship and on-site work with a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/Math/EE or related field.
• 5+ years in software engineering.
• Experience with React, C, C++, or C#.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Apply working knowledge of the software lifecycle to develop and lead software efforts.
• Design and maintain software architecture.
• Interface with engineering leads, program managers and customers.
• Contribute to creation, maintenance and acceptance of project CDRLs (requirements, docs, tests).
• Support testing on factory floor, offsite, and offshore.
• Develop system requirements from user needs and operation documents.
• Prepare concepts of operations, interfaces control documents, hazard analyses, and test plans.
