Job summary

Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) seeks a Software Engineer III to drive software development for underwater systems for Navy and DoW customers. You will design architectures, lead software activities, and ensure solutions meet CONOPS requirements in collaboration with engineers, PMs, and customers.

You will perform hands‑on systems software across Linux-based distributed and embedded environments, building interfaces, drivers, data processing, and robust communications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ with strong systems programming background.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded and distributed environments.
• Familiarity with real-time data exchange and DDS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design system architectures for underwater platforms.
• Lead or contribute to project software activities across the lifecycle.
• Develop interfaces, drivers, and services for Linux and containerized deployments.
• Mentor junior developers and support test and integration efforts.
