Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer for the Test Solutions Engineering team within Mission Systems. You will engage in all phases of a program life cycle, develop software for test stations, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure product quality and end-to-end test coverage.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with test equipment, design of software for automated tests, and coordination with multiple engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience programming in C# and Python languages.
• Experience in validation, verification, testing, and requirements analysis.
• Experience with manual or automated test equipment such as oscilloscopes and network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and integrate software components of hardware test stations for factory and engineering labs.
• Work hands-on with test hardware to develop software testing military communication hardware during build and manufacturing.
• Analyze requirements to ensure testability and develop clear test objectives.
• Write software for manual and automated test cases to detect defects and improve quality and yields.
• Coordinate with Systems, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering disciplines.
