Job summary

Verkada is seeking a skilled member for our Business Systems Engineering team to design and improve tools used daily by Go To Market teams. This role is on site at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.

You will lead projects end‑to‑end, integrating AWS, Salesforce and NetSuite, improving observability and data reliability, and mentoring junior engineers.

We value proactive collaboration, strong distributed systems expertise, and a passion for scalable data platforms in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with a focus on distributed systems at scale.
• Shipped customer facing products or internal tools in the past.
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Passion for observability and reliability.
• In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing.
• Bonus: Experience with data infrastructure and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions that will span between AWS, Salesforce and NetSuite.
• Improve systems observability and invest in reliability & correctness of data.
• Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems.
• Lead projects from ideation to release.
• Help and mentor junior engineers.
