Tanium Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-ready software within a small, nimble team. You will deliver end-to-end features, mentor peers, and collaborate with product and security to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern languages like Go, C++, Java or Python, with a strong focus on reliability and security in a hybrid workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing distributed systems or large-scale, high-availability apps.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable software features across the full SDLC.
• Architect solutions meeting complex product requirements with performance and security in mind.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineers to define requirements and deliver on schedule.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers to raise standards.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance bottlenecks in development and production.
• Contribute to engineering process improvements and tooling.
• Partner with security and infrastructure teams to align with Tanium's standards.
