Job summary

Tanium is an Autonomous IT company delivering real-time endpoint intelligence. As a Senior Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA, you’ll join a small, agile team to design, develop and deploy best-in-class products while engaging customers for feedback.

Responsibilities include building scalable cloud data services, contributing to API design, and applying IaC and container orchestration with Kubernetes. A CS degree is preferred; 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Go, C++, or Rust are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• CS Degree preferred.
• 5+ years industry experience; 7+ preferred.
• Experience building large cloud-based data services.
• Knowledge of at least one of Golang (preferred), C++, or Rust.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with API design and development.
• Experience with Azure or AWS Database Services.
• Experience with cloud object storage, such as AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience designing memory-efficient streaming and multipart data-transfer systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like git and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining Tanium's products alongside a highly agile development team
• Focusing on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning
• Designing, developing and testing new product ideas from the ground up while working with product management for feedback and input
