Job summary

Tanium is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team within the Endpoint Team. You will collaborate with product managers, other engineering managers, and senior leadership to drive development of foundational components for Tanium’s unified endpoint management and security platform.

You will hire, coach, and guide engineers, shape the roadmap, and ensure delivery of scalable, reliable software across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams
• 10+ years designing, developing, testing, and deploying software products
• Proven track record of architecting enterprise-level reliable and scalable solutions
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS system concepts
• Deep knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Creative, pragmatic problem-solver with curiosity about new technologies

Responsibilities

• Build exceptional teams by hiring, coaching, and driving ownership and impact
• Define vision and roadmap with product managers and security engineers
• Provide leadership while fostering a collaborative, innovative culture
• Coordinate cross-team requirements, designs, dependencies, and improvements
• Lead by example to raise the team's technical bar and delivery quality
• Adjust team composition and create new teams as business needs evolve
• Manage multiple projects through the full software development lifecycle
