Job summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III for the ACS team in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on AGILE development, building and integrating services, and supporting hardware and software deployments for fleet and Navy facilities.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in software engineering, experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Python, and must be eligible for a DoD Secret clearance. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations may be required.

Qualifications

• The candidate has a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• DoD IAT Level II certification or eligibility is required.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm and similar orchestration tools.
• Background in VMs, AWS, Containers, Ansible, and Python.
• Experience troubleshooting complex OS and networks in RHEL.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Participate in AGILE software development and integration.
• Resolve trouble tickets; track items to resolution using Confluence/JIRA.
• Integrate applications into container-based support services.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code meeting requirements.
• Troubleshoot code defects and deploy timely fixes.
• Document code using government CM tools.
• Deploy and troubleshoot software at Fleet/Navy facilities.
• Review technical docs for Fleet relevance.
• Design and integrate software powering data mediation and M2M messaging.
• Plan, design, integrate, test software, networks, and hardware.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Lead a subset of the engineering team on tasks and requirements.
• May support ACS Operations at labs, naval sites, and ships.
