Job summary

ByteDance is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Developer Infrastructure in San Jose. You will design and build development infra including Cloud IDE, code hosting, large-scale build backends, and ultra-high QPS CI/CD systems used daily by developers.

You will also create staging environments for TikTok, Ads, and Shopping to enable internal testing under heavy traffic and strict security controls, while continuously tuning components for maintainability and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Experience with Android, Java, Objective-C, Python, Golang.
• Experience in private or public cloud, backend architecture, storage systems, databases, CI/CD, build infrastructure, and big data.
• AI application development experience is a plus.
• Experience with technical leadership and dealing with ambiguity.
• Strong strategic thinking and team collaboration skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $212,800 – $387,600 annually (includes base pay, discretionary bonuses, and restricted stock units).
