Job summary

JITX in Berkeley is seeking a senior software engineer with a strong mathematical foundation to own major product areas end-to-end, working on design automation algorithms and real-time visualization. You’ll dive into our new simulation loop project that tightly integrates our design engine with circuit simulation to catch errors earlier and give engineers faster feedback.

The stack includes Python, C++, TypeScript, React, and Ansys HFSS, with opportunities to shape the Stanza-to-C++ transition

Responsibilities

• Develop PCB placement, routing, and geometry generation algorithms.
• Implement computational geometry and spatial data structures.
• Support constraint solving and optimization within design workflows.
• Integrate industry simulators (e.g., Ansys HFSS) into the design flow.
• Build feedback loops that drive automatic design optimization from simulation results.
• Bridge between design engine and external solvers to enable closed‑loop iteration.
