Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Associate, Software Engineering to join a dynamic team in a classified environment and deliver world-class cloud solutions for national defense. You will work on Ground Software and Image Science projects, collaborating with mission teams to ensure reliable software capabilities across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, design, and code reviews using Java, C++, and Python, with Linux deployments and a Top Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a mission‑focused team environment.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, troubleshoot, and triage deployed software in operational environments.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using Java, C++, Python.
• Support software deployment, integration, and sustainment activities in Linux environments.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system integration problems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and mission teams to deliver reliable software capabilities.
• Support debugging, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for fielded systems.
• Participate in software design, code reviews, testing, and configuration management processes.
• Ensure software solutions meet mission, security, and performance requirements.
