Job summary

Verity Solutions, a Cigna Company, seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and deliver scalable full-stack solutions for reporting, analytics, and workflow automation within the pharmacy supply chain platform.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams while maintaining security, HIPAA compliance, and production readiness across AWS-based deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building enterprise-grade software and distributed systems.
• Backend development with Golang; strong design for scalable systems.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS and modern CI/CD.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and data modeling.
• Strong problem solving and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable full-stack software for reporting, workflow automation, analytics, and predictive capabilities.
• Lead technical design and contribute to architecture decisions for distributed, data-intensive systems.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own delivery outcomes by estimating work, sequencing initiatives, identifying risks, and driving execution.
• Apply modern development practices and AI-assisted tools to improve code quality and performance.
• Partner with engineering, QA, and ops to deliver production-ready software.
• Ensure secure and resilient deployments with monitoring and observability.
• Mentor engineers through design/code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them where value is added.
• Protect sensitive data and support HIPAA compliance.
