Job summary

SIXGEN, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer at Ft. Meade, MD to support agile development for modernizing critical systems. The role demands extensive experience, autonomy, and technical leadership within a collaborative environment.

Requirements include a TS/SCI with Polygraph, a 14+ year track record in software engineering, and proficiency in Java and JavaScript in Linux. Onsite work five days a week with strong team mentorship expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus 14+ years of software engineering experience; or 18+ years exp in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Java and JavaScript in a Linux environment.
• Experience writing source code for new applications and enhancing existing applications.
• Experience using front-end and back-end technologies to develop complete software solutions.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications using agile development methodologies.
• Write source code for new applications and enhance existing software solutions.
• Utilize front-end and back-end technologies to develop complete software solutions.
• Support the modernization, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members when needed.
