Job summary

MANTECH seeks an Expert Software Engineer in Herndon, VA to develop and enhance mission-critical web applications for cybersecurity initiatives. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across teams while delivering robust data-driven features.

Responsibilities include designing features, integrating diverse data sources, and managing deployment cycles. A TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required to support national security programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 15+ years of programming experience.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL databases and writing complex queries.
• Experience creating API endpoints or integrating with other teams’ endpoints to exchange data in a fully authenticated and audited way.
• Experience with Elasticsearch data management.
• Experience working in a Linux-based development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhancements to web applications that allow users to enter, search, and retrieve information.
• Evaluate and integrate data sources; correlate data to answer specific questions.
• Mentor two to three junior developers and provide leadership within project scope.
• Collaborate with team members to discuss project status, dependencies, or blockers.
• Communicate with fellow developers and end-users.
• Manage the development life cycle and deployment schedule and process.
• Supply regular reports to stakeholder components.
