Job summary

MANTECH is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for the Ft. Meade, MD area. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems including analytics, real-time processing, and large data handling.

You will work individually or in teams, applying robust design and testing practices while supporting system-level trade-offs and decisions. Required are 14+ years in software development with a CS-related degree (or 4 additional SWE years in lieu), strong C/C++,

Qualifications

14+ years of software development with a BS in CS or related field; 4 additional SWE years may substitute.
Experience in C/C++ and Rust.
Containerizing applications with Rancher/Kubernetes/Docker.
Proficiency in Linux environments.
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.
Experience developing RESTful web applications.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (analytics, algorithms, large data sets, real-time systems, business apps).
Reviews and tests components, documents results, and resolves defects.
Uses software design methodologies appropriate to the environment.
Contributes to software components design, including trade-offs, reuse, and analysis from system to component level.
