Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy complex software for mission-critical offensive cyber operations. The role applies software engineering principles and SAFe Agile practices to deliver scalable, secure systems within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications include 7+ years in software development, a CS/Engineering degree, proficiency in Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, TDD, and REST/Unix environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with TDD and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance eligibility; must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be located in NCR or San Antonio area.

Responsibilities

• Develop software features according to user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Implement automated unit and integration tests (80% coverage minimum).
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Support DevSecOps pipeline implementation and maintenance.
• Develop microservices using containerization technologies.
• Integrate with Government platform services and APIs.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies at the team level.
• Support troubleshooting and production issue resolution.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
