WEX Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Corporate Payments Engineering team in Edina, MN. You will help build the next generation of payments products, including UIs, APIs, webhooks, and data streams. You will drive architectural roadmaps and practical implementation across platforms.

You will write high-quality automated tests and ensure security/compliance in cloud environments while collaborating with geographically distributed teams to accelerate delivery and reuse components.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with rapid development and deployment of services on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience writing high-quality automated tests (unit, component, integration).
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud/data environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native engineering tools (Claude or Cursor).
• Excellent team-building and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
