Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for Core Location, Sensing & Connectivity to design and build the location API that powers Apple platforms. You will tackle performance, privacy and reliability while collaborating with platform teams to ship robust features.

You will contribute to multi-threaded system software, guide architecture decisions, and mentor peers as you work across domains such as positioning science and SDK frameworks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of development experience in C or C++.
• Deep understanding of multithreaded programming and synchronization.
• Experience in overall operating system design and implementation.
• BS or MS in CS, EE, or related field.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools and integrating them into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Understand usage of our API and identify problems and needs; design and build solutions.
• Refine architecture and utility components of the system processes that back the SDK frameworks.
• Collaborate with domain specialists in positioning science and support app teams building new Core Location features.
