Job summary

Apple in San Diego is seeking an engineer for Location Software Quality to build automation infrastructure and QA tooling for location features used in Maps, Fitness, and other OS components.

You will develop automated tests, analyze data-driven results, and work with developers and cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and release quality.

Qualifications

Join the Sensing and Connectivity team to work on Location Technologies that power critical experiences in Apple products. We build highly innovative and deeply impactful location features based on the core wireless technologies such as GNSS, Ultra Wide Band (UWB), WiFi and Bluetooth. These are used across many of the our products and is the foundation of Maps and Fitness applications, Proximity sensing features such as the ground breaking AirTags UWB Precise finding and Indoor Location/iBeacons — among many more. Description

The Location Software Quality team undertakes special projects for the Sensing and Connectivity groups at Apple. These projects have ranged from developing data crowdsourcing systems to prototyping apps & features for future OS releases. We are looking for an engineer with deep understanding of wireless technologies and the possibilities such technologies hold for improved positioning. You will work closely with developers and other cross functional stake holders to understand the features and use data-driven test results to influence and craft the end product. You will use your programming skills to automate test processes, data analysis, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications
