Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. You’ll help build and maintain foundational services and SDKs powering our cross-platform product, shaping APIs and scalable systems used by millions.

You’ll collaborate with product teams, designers, and PMs to scope projects, optimize performance, and ship cloud functions and backend services using Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform, with exposure to GCP and cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• Understanding end-to-end system design and simplicity.
• Ability to ship quickly while considering tradeoffs.
• Collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and PMs.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects and deliver cross-platform SDKs.
• Optimize functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing through better abstractions.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
