Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team. You’ll help build and maintain foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify across platforms, shaping reliable APIs and scalable systems that enhance the user experience.

You’ll collaborate with product teams to scope projects, optimize performance, and ship Kotlin-based cloud functions and backend jobs. A strong candidate designs for end-to-end usability, throughput, and simplicity.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable APIs and cross-platform SDKs.
• Strong system design and end-to-end thinking.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions.
• Design efficient abstractions and improve algorithms for faster loading and parsing.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
