Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Core Experiences Team. You will design and maintain foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify across platforms, at the intersection of product and infrastructure.

You will collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and ship cross-platform SDKs using Kotlin Multiplatform while optimizing performance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing clear, reliable APIs and scalable systems.
• Proficient in Kotlin Multiplatform and cloud services (GCP).
• Ability to ship APIs and backend services with Kotlin.
• Strong collaboration across product, design, PMs to deliver cross-platform solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster feedback, and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions.
• Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and parsing by designing efficient abstractions and algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
