Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This role builds and maintains foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

It’s a critical position for someone who enjoys bridging product and infrastructure with clear, reliable APIs. You will collaborate with Product teams to scope projects, optimize performance, and ship backend services and jobs using Kotlin.

Qualifications

• Systems thinking—end-to-end design is essential.
• Ability to ship quickly by evaluating options and prioritizing.
• Ability to collaborate with designers, marketers, and PMs in a fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product teams to scope projects and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions.
• Optimize functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by refining abstractions and algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
