Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement features to converge VCF onto a single appliance model. Location is Promontory, California, with a compensation range of USD 121,900 to 195,000 per year.

You will collaborate with architects, leads, and the customer-facing teams to deliver a scalable appliance platform. The role requires expertise in Java, Go, Python and REST APIs, plus experience with CI pipelines and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience; advanced degrees may reduce required experience.
• Experience designing and implementing system software for converged appliance platforms.
• Proficient in Java, Go, Python and REST APIs; strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enhancements and new capabilities in VCF and related areas.
• Full stack development that includes REST APIs.
• Participate in Service Ownership, monitoring, alert-automation, triaging, fixing issues to improve SLOs.
• On-call rotation and operational support.
• Improve CI pipelines and perform code reviews.
• Develop reusable code across components/OS/hypervisors.
• Interact with architects and customers support/release teams.
