Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join the Code Lifecycle team within the Developer Platform organization.

You will own and evolve the infrastructure behind code hosting, code search, and the SubmitQueue, enabling thousands of diffs daily into Uber's Go monorepo while keeping main green. You will design Go-based tooling for the code review workflow, drive end-to-end projects, and enforce robust testing, monitoring, and incident response.

Competenze

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Go and building distributed systems at scale.
• Proven track record delivering production-ready, well-tested code with strong monitoring and operational readiness.
• Experience owning projects through full lifecycle — scoping, design, delivery, and production support.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound technical decisions under ambiguity while balancing priorities.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a healthy engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Mansioni

• Own and evolve Uber's code hosting, code review, and code search platforms to keep main green.
• Design, build, and maintain Go-based tooling for the code review workflow, including the SubmitQueue and automated checks.
• Drive end-to-end projects from problem framing to production rollout and operations, with tradeoffs on build-vs-buy and rewrite-vs-incremental.
• Define and enforce testing, monitoring, and alerting standards; track metrics and lead incident response.
• Measure and improve developer experience by refining workflows and tooling for thousands of engineers.
