Job summary

JPMorgan Chase seeks an experienced Software Engineer to join the Payments, Proprietary Wallets, and Lending Innovation organization. You will architect, design, and deliver scalable, secure technology solutions across multiple domains, supporting strategic business objectives.

You will lead platform design, implement reliable production code, and produce comprehensive architecture documentation while driving data analysis and visualization efforts to improve system performance.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with hands-on experience in large-scale environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java for developing, debugging, and maintaining code.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data lakes, and AWS S3 for scalable storage architectures.
• Proven track record deploying applications on AWS services like EMR, EKS/ECS, EC2, Event Bus, and S3.
• Familiarity with enterprise logging and monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, Grafana).
• Strong CI/CD experience using Jenkins and Spinnaker to automate delivery pipelines.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, agile practices, resiliency, and security best practices.
• Domain knowledge across cloud, AI/ML, and mobile technologies.

Responsibilities

• Platform Solution Design & Development: Lead the creation of scalable platform solutions and address complex infrastructure challenges.
• Secure Coding & Platform Reliability: Develop and maintain secure production code and automation scripts for reliable deployments.
• Platform Architecture & Design Documentation: Produce architecture and design docs ensuring best practices across the SDLC.
• Data Analysis & Visualization: Analyze large data sets to create actionable visualizations and reports.
• Problem Identification & System Improvement: Identify hidden issues to improve coding standards and architecture.
• Community Engagement & Technology Exploration: Participate in internal engineering communities and explore emerging tech.
• Team Culture & Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
