JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Connected Commerce, Travel division to help design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way. You will work as a core technical contributor across multiple domains within a cross-functional squad.

Responsibilities include end-to-end feature delivery, production readiness, observability, and secure design patterns. Strong Java/Spring Boot, AWS, and API/REST experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years delivering production systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience owning major features and end-to-end delivery within a squad.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex features/services; collaborate across teams on end-to-end solutions.
• Improve observability, support SLOs/SLIs, and contribute to incident response.
• Apply secure-by-default patterns and resilient design across systems.
• Author proposals, participate in design reviews, and align with architecture.
• Write secure, high-quality production code for backend and frontend as needed.
• Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and reliable estimation.
• Ensure database rigor: schema design, indexing, tuning, and caching.
• Integrate approved AI assistants with governance and CI quality gates.
• Follow AI governance and provide feedback to improve standards.
• Measure AI-assisted workflows without compromising security or reliability.
