Job summary

The Wittern Group is seeking a Software Engineer III for WG Connect, located on site in Des Moines, IA. You will design, develop, and deploy software across cloud, edge, and embedded platforms, while mentoring junior engineers and championing best practices.

You will participate in architecture, code reviews, and DevOps activities, ensuring secure, scalable solutions and leveraging AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience delivering production-quality software in Agile environments.
• Proven ability to work across cloud, edge, and embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for cloud, edge, and embedded platforms.
• Lead complex features and technical initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Guide architectural decisions for scalability, performance, and security.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC efforts with a focus on quality and reliability.
