Kratos Space & Defense in Colorado Springs seeks software engineers with 7–10 years of experience to lead architecture and drive secure, scalable solutions for space and defense programs. You will collaborate with cyber teams, implement CI/CD, and guide agile ceremonies while ensuring compliance with government standards and cryptographic controls.

The role requires strong leadership, cloud-on-prem integration, and hands-on coding in multiple languages, with travel ~10% for customer engagements

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field with focus on software design/implementation.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience; combination of education and work accepted.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes, incl. docker-compose, Helm or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Articulate technical concepts to customers, users and the team.
• Lead implementation of the project’s software architecture.
• Drive verification and troubleshooting of solutions.
• Develop and mature CI/CD pipeline aligned with customer methodology.
• Guide agile lifecycle with backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives and feedback.
• Define software architecture to meet requirements and coordinate cloud and system design.
• Lead software design and mentor engineers on the project.
• Collaborate with cyber security to design secure, compliant solutions.
• Utilize Cross Domain Solutions for data transfer across environments.
• Travel ~10% annually for integration, testing and customer meetings.
