Job summary

WEX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Corporate Payments Engineering organization. The role focuses on building next-gen payment products, including UIs, APIs, webhooks, and data streams, while driving a long-term architectural roadmap.

Candidate will lead the development of secure, scalable cloud-based services on AWS or Azure, implement automated tests, and collaborate with geographically distributed teams to accelerate delivery and innovation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, component, integration).
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud/data environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native engineering tools (Claude or Cursor).
• Excellent team-building and decision-making skills.
