Job summary

AZX is seeking a Software Engineer to help build and implement models, using agentic problem solving wrapped around formal methods, that solve client issues with strict compliance rules and constraints. You will work directly with the system's inventor, learn the design deeply, and take it to production—packaging, testing, CI, documentation, and the interface for provably-right answers.

This is the formal solutioning layer of the stack, sitting between research and production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of productionization experience: packaging, tests, CI, observability, and docs.
• Deep formal methods experience with SMT/constraint solvers and proof systems.
• Data modeling and shape validation using SHACL/RDF/OWL/SPARQL.
• Agentic AI literacy and knowledge of LLM agents and failure modes.
• Strong generalist engineering: Python, service design, keeping systems simple.

Responsibilities

• Take the research-grade formal/agentic system to production with packaging, tests, CI, and docs.
• Own architecture for reliability, packaging, test coverage, typing, CI, and release discipline.
• Wrap solver runs in agent loops with defined touch rules when proofs fail.
• Model client business rules as measurable constraints and shapes.
• Reason over per-customer digital twins and validate against constraints.
• Define the agent seam and clarify where LLMs may assist vs. where they must not assert.
• Make proof results legible to clients by clearly communicating what was checked.
