Job summary

First Citizens Bank is actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CIAM and Fraud delivery team in a remote, nationwide capacity. You will architect, implement, and support secure, scalable software across banking platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business goals.

You will drive design decisions, ensure code quality with automated tests, and contribute to fast, reliable delivery while navigating complex regulatory requirements essential to financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years in software development (or 8+ years with HS).
• Experience in banking or regulated financial services is preferred.
• Proficient in Java and related enterprise tech stack.
• Familiar with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure software solutions for CIAM and Fraud projects.
• Lead maintenance of IaaS, SaaS, and on-prem apps to ensure stability and scalability.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of defects, data integrity, and config issues.
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices.
