Job summary

Amazon in Boulder is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer for Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS) to design scalable data systems processing billions of events daily on AWS.

You will collaborate with scientists and product managers, drive causal measurement techniques, and lead architectural decisions for Amazon Ads data platforms, delivering fast, precise campaign insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable systems processing over 50 billion events daily.
• Develop and optimize causal measurement and modeling techniques, including ML.
• Architect and evolve event-driven architectures using AWS big data and ML tech.
• Combine deterministic and modeled measurement for fast, precise, actionable estimates.
• Lead architecture decisions shaping the future of causal measurement across Amazon ads.
