Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a highly skilled software engineer to design and build data systems at petabyte scale, processing billions of events daily on AWS.

You will work on causal measurement, modeling techniques, and scalable, production-grade pipelines across SPB. Collaborate with scientists and product managers, apply ML, and influence architectural decisions shaping Amazon Ads' measurement capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable systems processing 50B+ events daily for causal advertising measurement.
• Develop and optimize causal measurement and modeling techniques with experiments and ML.
• Architect event-driven architectures using AWS big data and ML tech to scale.
• Combine deterministic and modeled measurement for fast, precise estimates for advertisers.
• Drive technical strategy and lead architecture decisions for Amazon ad products.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate challenges into scalable solutions.
• Set engineering standards for reliability and production quality at petabyte scale.
