Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance real-time software systems for data-intensive analytics and large-scale processing.

The role requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance, with 15 years of experience in TypeScript, C++, or Python. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and maintenance through the full software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including real-time processing and large data sets.
• Decompose requirements into software component requirements and design modules.
• Develop software components using appropriate methodologies for the environment.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document results.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software problem reports.
• Provide technical input on system/software design and COTS solutions.
• Support software integration, verification, testing, debugging, and maintenance.

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting real-time processing, data-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and large-scale data processing. This role requires U.S. citizenship, an active Secret security clearance, 15 years of experience, and software development expertise with TypeScript, C++, or Python, real-time processing, container technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and SAST tool remediation.

This role supports the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and maintenance. Preferred experience includes RTOS, Linux, VxWorks, Agile development, automated testing, Jira/Confluence, Git, anti-tamper technologies, and safety-critical or nuclear-critical software development standards such as DO-178C, DO-330, and AFMAN 91-119.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithms, extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems.


• Analyze documented system requirements and decompose requirements into individual software component requirements.


• Design and develop software components using software engineering methodologies appropriate to the development environment.


• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.


• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software problem reports.


• Provide technical input to system and software design, including hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solutions.


• Support software integration, verification, testing, debugging, and maintenance throughout the software development lifecycle.

• 15 years of relevant software engineering or software development experience.


• Experience developing software using TypeScript, C++, or Python.


• Proficiency with real-time processing concepts, including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, and memory management.


• Experience with container technologies.


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.


• Experience with Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tool remediation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile software development using Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.


• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, and maintenance.


• Experience with safety-critical and nuclear-critical software development standards and environments, including DO-178C, DO-330, and AFMAN 91-119.


• Familiarity with structured, process-driven software development environments, including peer reviews, revision control, defect tracking, build processes, and release practices.


• Experience developing drivers and middleware using RTOS, Linux, and/or VxWorks.


• Experience with anti-tamper technologies and practices, including cryptography, secure communications, logging, and software deployment.


• Experience with Git-based version control products.


• Experience applying automated testing techniques, including unit and integration testing.


• Experience with test frameworks/applications and system verification.

Estimated Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 (Based on factors such as Government labor categories (LCATs) education, experience, geographic location, etc.)
