Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is hiring a Software Developer to support the GMD Weapon System Fire Control Engagement Planner team in Huntsville, AL.

You will develop and modernize mathematics- and physics-based defense software using C++, Ada, MATLAB, and Python, including Ada-to-C++ translation, optimization, and simulation. Role requires Linux/Unix experience, containerization with Kubernetes and Docker, and DevSecOps practices with Jenkins, Ansible, Git/GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field, ideally Mathematics or Physics, or a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 0 years of related experience; experience must not exceed 10 years.
  • Experience solving highly mathematical and physics-based complex problems.
  • Experience analyzing and implementing optimization algorithms.
  • Recent software development experience with Ada or C++.
  • Recent MATLAB and Python experience.
  • Experience with software containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Docker.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and methodologies, including Jenkins, Ansible, Git/GitLab, and CI/CD automation.
  • Unix/Linux operating system experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret modeling and simulation.
  • Must be able to work in-person within a closed-area environment.

C++ | Ada | GMD Fire Control

We are hiring a Software Developer to support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Fire Control (GFC) Engagement Planner team, developing and modernizing complex mathematics- and physics-based defense software for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role focuses on C++ and Ada software development, Ada-to-C++ modernization, optimization algorithms, MATLAB and Python, modeling and simulation, containerization with Kubernetes and Docker, and DevSecOps CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Ansible, Git/GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
