Job summary

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical software for the U.S. Air Force DMOC at Kirtland AFB. You’ll work on web applications, automation, CI/CD, and secure DoD software development in a Windows/Linux environment.

Required are C++/Python skills, DoD security clearance, US citizenship, and advanced degrees with relevant experience. On-site work and a competitive salary are offered with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance — required
• U.S. Citizenship — required
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a related field; equivalent qualifying certifications may be considered.
• Relevant experience levels based on degree: Bachelor’s 9+, Master’s 7+, PhD 4+ years

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python.
• Support applications in Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop backend services, web applications, and SQL database functionality.
• Build automation using Bash and maintain Git/GitLab repositories.
• Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot software issues and implement improvements.
• Support software deployment, configuration, and technical documentation.
• Ensure development activities comply with DoD security requirements.
