Job summary

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the USAF DMOC at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain software systems, troubleshoot issues, and help improve backend services and web applications while ensuring DoD security standards. Responsibilities include supporting CI/CD pipelines and documenting work in a defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, CS, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Data Science, or equivalent certifications (CISSP-ISSAP, GSEC, CSSLP).
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire.
• 9+ years with a Bachelor’s, 7+ years with a Master’s, or 4+ years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems for the DMOC at Kirtland AFB.
• Troubleshoot issues and enhance backend services and web applications.
• Contribute to software improvements and ensure compliance with DoD security standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and maintain version control and deployment processes.
• Produce technical documentation as needed.
