Job summary

MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain mission-critical software for the DMOC at Kirtland AFB. You will implement C++ and Python across Linux and Windows, and contribute to backend services, web apps, and automated testing.

This on-site role requires U.S. citizenship, an active DoD Secret clearance, and adherence to DoD security requirements. The team supports CI/CD pipelines and secure software development in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field; equivalent qualifying certifications may be considered.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python.
• Support applications in Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop backend services, web applications, and SQL database functionality.
• Build automation using Bash and maintain Git/GitLab repositories.
• Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB.

You’ll design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain mission-critical software and backend services while supporting web applications, automation, CI/CD, and secure software development in a DoD environment.
