MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. in Kirtland AFB, NM, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (C++/Python) to support critical DoD mission software.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and web applications in Linux/Windows, implement CI/CD pipelines, automate tasks, and ensure DoD security compliance. The position supports the DMOC at Kirtland AFB and requires active DoD secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and DoD 8570 certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, IT, or related field.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification within 60 days of hire.
• Experience: 9+ yrs (Bachelor), 7+ yrs (Master), 4+ yrs (PhD).

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software using C++ and Python.
• Support apps in Linux and Windows environments.
• Develop backend services, web apps, and SQL databases.
• Build Bash automation; maintain Git/GitLab repos.
• Develop and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
• Support deployment, configuration, and documentation.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB.

You’ll design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain mission-critical software and backend services while supporting web applications, automation, CI/CD, and secure software development in a DoD environment.

• DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire.
