Job summary

Alphatec Spine seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Windows-based applications, distributed services, and embedded components across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional, globally distributed teams, implementing robust inter-service communication and quality assurance in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes strong C#/.NET skills, experience with RabbitMQ, and familiarity with FDA/QSR processes.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET development for Windows apps, distributed services, and backend systems; WPF experience is a plus.
• Experience with message-based and distributed architectures, e.g., RabbitMQ.
• Architect, design, and maintain systems that integrate UI, backend, and embedded components.
• Familiarity with software architecture, OO design, and modern practices.
• Experience with source control, automated builds, and CI/CD pipelines; GitHub and/or Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Experience with unit, integration, and system-level testing.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams with sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Experience using DOORS/Jama/Ketryx for requirements capture and traceability.
• Experience using AI agents and AI-powered code generation tools.
• Experience using Confluence for technical documentation.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments, QSR, IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across distributed teams.
