Job summary

Verkada is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Business Systems Engineering team in the US. You will build and improve tools used by Go to Market teams, identify bottlenecks, automate processes, and steward data across sales, order, finance, and support.

Onsite at our San Mateo HQ, you will design solutions spanning AWS, Salesforce, and NetSuite; enhance observability and data reliability; mentor juniors and lead projects from ideation to release in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in distributed systems at scale.
• Shipped customer-facing products or internal tools.
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Passion for observability and reliability.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data processing.
• AWS cloud stack including Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, EC2.
• Bonus: data infrastructure and analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions spanning AWS, Salesforce and NetSuite.
• Improve observability and reliability of data and systems.
• Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems.
• Lead projects from ideation to release.
• Mentor junior engineers.
